The owner of Orchid's (the salon is named after her daughter), is the BEST at both haircuts AND color. I have used what seems tomrs to be every stylist in the city and usually I like either the cut or the color but rarely both. Aki CONSISTENTLY does an amazing job on my hair. I am never disappointed. This is soooo rare for me! I happened upon this little salon by chance but I was so pleased with the job (loved loved love the cut and color) that I have been a client for 4 years!!! I have been meaning to write this review for a long time. The best part about the way Aki is that I can blow it dry and make it look good by myself when I get home. This is critical because you know when you get home from a great stylist but then you can't make it look that good yourself? I hate that! I haven't had that problem in 4 years. Another great thing about Aki is that I can usually call her and get an appointment the same day. That is really valuable to me. I no longer live close to the salon which is very near to UCLA, but I will always drive out of my way to get to Orchid's. I know that I will get great treatment. Because Aki us Persian, she also serves you tea and cookies or fresh fruit while you wait for your color to develop. She has been a stylist for over 20 years and man does she know her stuff! I send all my friends here and so I want my yelp community to know about Aki too! Oh and she also does my eyebrows and waxing. Persians know their eyebrows and wax!!! Go to Aki, you won't be sorry! She is really budget friendly too!

I stumbled across Orchid Beauty Lounge while buying electronics at Raido Shack next door. I walked in, and received a haircut from Ester. This woman is a genius with hair. I had broken hair with split ends, long dry hair. She gave me an amazing haircut, and great advice on the upkeep. She educated me on the best products to use on my hair type. This salon was great, the staff are very friendly, and fun. The salon is very clean and reasonable. I'm so glad I decided to give Orchid Beauty Lounge a try. You should too!!!

This was my first time at Orchid Beauty Lounge. I just moved to New York to West Los Angeles. I received a Haircut From Orchid she was great! I will recomend her to every one she honestly made my hair look nobody else has! I've gotten tons of compliments and will be back to Orchid Beauty Lounge. Thanks Orchid.
